Nissan Kicks 2016; An Inexpensive way to Own the Roads
Nissan has announced that it will put the Kicks concept in mass production as from August 2016. Described as a premier SUV, it will compete with Jeep Renegade and Honda HR-V both of which have built a reputable name in Brazil. The Kicks will initially be sold in Brazil then ship to 80 overseas countries including India.
The Nissan Kicks concept made its global debut at a media event in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and it featured an elegant design that closely resembles that of the Renault Captur. The Kicks concept is 1600mm tall, 1800mm wide and 4300mm long with a wheelbase of 2620mm. The Kicks is quite big and it’s 6.9 inches (175mm) longer than the Juke. The sole purpose of the Kicks concept was to bridge the gap and showcase the distinct design signature of Nissan cars.

2016 Nissan Kicks –Exterior Design
In an effort to gain a larger market share, the Japanese company is focusing on customizing the exterior design so as to make it stand out from the crowd. This vehicle has two different outer color schemes characterized by soft palettes of black and gray. The vehicle will have upgraded bumpers both front and back and 19-inch alloy wheels. The design is very elegant and polished with aerodynamic features. The top of the vehicle is colored in orange which presents a dazzling contrast and breaks away from the monotony of the black and gray color palettes and gives it a sportier look.

The interior of this Nissan Kicks is perfectly executed with a lot of attention to detail. The seats are elegantly designed offering plenty of comfort and support for the driver as well as his passengers. The vehicle comes equipped with contemporary features such as Bluetooth and USB connectivity along with other myriad options like rear parking sensors, cruise control, and satellite navigation. The vehicle will also house some of the high-end motor features like smartphone integration, 7-inch touch screen, and a Bluetooth phone.

Even though the company has kept the engine capacity of this vehicle a secret, many sources speculate that it will be powered by a 1.6 l engine which is similar to that one of Nissan Extrem, Nissan Sunny, and Nissan Versa. Apart from the petrol engine, it will also come with a diesel option as well. The fuel consumption rate of the Kicks is also not yet known, but the powertrain will be offered in both the direct injection module and turbocharging. The engine will be able to produce a significant amount of horsepower to torque ratio.
Release Date & Price
The Nissan Kicks will first be launched in Brazil on 5th August 2016, followed by 80 overseas countries including India. The Nissan kicks that first made its global debut in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in May 2016 will arrive in India shores in 2018. The estimated price in India is expected to start at Rs 8 lakh for the base model and Rs 15 lakh for the top model.
