The Sony Xperia X is Now on Sale for $499 ($50 off ) at Multiple Retailers
A new chapter of premium performance has just been opened by the new Sony Xperia X series. If you are in the USA and have been waiting for Sony’s Xperia X smartphones, here is the good news; the smartphones are now available for sale. A couple of 3rd party retailers including Amazon and Bestbuy are now accepting the pre-orders. From how it seems, there aren’t many phones out there that are compact enough and well positioned to put this one off.
The Xperia X is not a flagship phone in Sony’s X series, but it behaves like one. It features a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 650 chipset, a splendid 23MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. Sony is traditionally known for their camera and the Xperia X follows suit. The Xperia X is $499 at Amazon, B&H, and Best Buy. If you buy the phone from B&H, you get a free pair of Samsung Level U Bluetooth headphones.
The Sony Xperia X is a decent smartphone that has a compact design, decent screen, a great camera and a fingerprint scanner. But at a price of $550, Sony puts it in the league of more powerful handsets, the likes of iPhone 6s ($650) which features more powerful processors. Our only hope is that with time, the price will drop to a level favorable for an average consumer.
